Founding Author Showcase Consent

1. What this is, and what it is not

This Showcase Consent (the "Consent") is the Author's permission for [Voicewright entity — LLC name and state of formation to be confirmed], operating as Voicewright Studio ("Voicewright"), to feature the Author and the Author's work in the Founding Author Program section of its site and in its own marketing.

Author Production Agreement §15 promises that Voicewright will not publish excerpts, the Author's name, or the work's title in its marketing without the Author's prior written consent. This document is that consent. It is narrow on purpose, and it is the only permission Voicewright relies on to feature the Author.

It is a license to promote — nothing else. It grants Voicewright no ownership of, and no rights in, the Author's book, manuscript, or audiobook.

• It is OPTIONAL. Declining it does not affect the Founding Author offer, the balance waiver, the production, or anything else. The Founding Author Addendum says so, and it means it.
• It is REVOCABLE at any time, for any reason or none, with no explanation owed (section 6).
• It is NON-EXCLUSIVE. The Author may promote the work anywhere, with anyone, in any way, including with material identical to what is granted here.
• It is ROYALTY-FREE — Voicewright pays nothing for it, and the Author is owed nothing for it.
• It is PERSONAL to Voicewright and not sublicensable, except as section 3 describes for the ordinary operation of Voicewright's own channels.

2. What the Author permits Voicewright to use

The Author permits Voicewright to reproduce, display, and transmit the following, in whole or in part, for the purpose of promoting the Author, the Author's work, and Voicewright's services:

• The Author's name — real name, pen name, or both, as the Author specifies — together with a photograph and biography the Author supplies.
• The title of the book, its cover art, and a short description of it.
• Audio excerpts of the Voicewright-produced audiobook, up to 5 minutes in total per book, each excerpt approved by the Author before first publication.
• A short quotation from the text of the book, where it accompanies an excerpt or describes the work.
• Links the Author supplies, and the Author's public retailer listings for the book.
• Any statement about the Program that the Author gives Voicewright specifically for publication, attributed to the Author as given.

3. Where Voicewright may use it

On Voicewright's own surfaces and channels only. Specifically: the Voicewright website, including the Founding Author section and the storefront if the Author's book is listed there; Voicewright's newsletter and blog; and Voicewright's own social media accounts.

Voicewright's hosting, email, and storage providers process this material in the ordinary course of running those channels, under the Privacy Policy. That is not a sublicense to them.

• NOT paid third-party advertising, without a further specific permission from the Author.
• NOT sublicensed, sold, or supplied to any other company for their own promotional use.
• NOT used to suggest the Author endorses anything beyond their own participation in the Program, or to imply the Author has any stake in Voicewright.
• NOT altered in ways that change the sense of what the Author wrote or said. Excerpts may be trimmed for length and leveled for loudness; they will not be edited to say something different.

4. Audio excerpts specifically

Excerpts are the part of this Consent with the most in it for both parties, so its terms are set out separately. Each excerpt is drawn from the audiobook Voicewright produced for the Author, and is presented as Human-directed AI narration, labeled as such, exactly as on every other Voicewright surface.

• The Author approves each excerpt before it is first published. Voicewright will propose; the Author chooses.
• Total published excerpt length stays within 5 minutes per book. Where a retailer or platform imposes a shorter sample limit, that limit applies there.
• The Author may ask for a specific excerpt to be replaced or removed at any time, without revoking the whole Consent. Voicewright will act on that request within the same time as a revocation (section 6).
• Voicewright may present an excerpt alongside a description of how it was directed — the craft is the point of the showcase — without disclosing the Author's manuscript beyond the excerpt itself.
• The Author's ownership of the audiobook is unaffected. Voicewright's ability to use the excerpt comes only from this Consent, and ends when this Consent ends.

5. The Author's confirmations

The Author confirms that the Author holds the rights needed to grant this Consent — including rights in the book, the cover art, the photograph, and any quotation supplied — and that the material supplied does not infringe anyone else's rights.

If the Author's rights in any of it change — a publisher acquires rights, a cover license lapses, a pen name is retired — the Author will tell Voicewright, and Voicewright will treat it as a revocation as to that material under section 6.

6. Changing or revoking this Consent

The Author may revoke this Consent, in whole or in part, at any time and without giving a reason, by writing to support@voicewright.studio — a single line is enough, and no form or explanation is required. On receiving a revocation, Voicewright stops all new use immediately and removes existing material as follows:

• The Author's entry in the Founding Author Program section is removed — within 5 business days.
• Audio excerpts are pulled from the Voicewright site and from Voicewright's channels — within 5 business days.
• If the Author's book is listed on the Voicewright storefront, the listing is unlisted on request — within 5 business days. Completed sales and purchasers' existing licenses survive, as the Author Production Agreement §12 provides.
• If the Author asks for the produced files to be deleted as well, Voicewright deletes them, backups included — within 30 days. This is separate from revoking the Consent and must be asked for specifically, because it is not undoable: the Author should keep their own copy of the finished audio first.

7. What revocation cannot undo, said plainly

Some things genuinely cannot be recalled, and this Consent will not pretend otherwise. Voicewright will not use them going forward, will not republish them, and will honor any request it can act on — but it cannot retrieve what has already gone out:

• Newsletter issues already sent to their recipients.
• Posts, screenshots, or audio that third parties have already copied, shared, or reposted, which are outside Voicewright's control.
• Printed or offline material already distributed.
• Archived or cached copies held by search engines and internet archives. Voicewright will submit removal requests where a mechanism exists, and cannot guarantee the outcome.

8. What revocation does not affect

Revoking this Consent is a decision about publicity, and nothing else. It does not:

• End or change the production engagement, or the Founding Author Addendum.
• Reinstate the waived balance, or make any further amount payable. The waiver is unconditional and is not consideration for this Consent.
• Affect the Author's ownership of the finished audio, or any right in the Manuscript.
• Remove the Author's Founding Author status, or any early access that comes with it.
• Prevent the Author from granting a fresh consent later, on the same or different terms.

9. Duration and general

This Consent runs from acceptance until revoked. It survives completion of the production engagement — that is its purpose — and ends automatically if Voicewright ceases to operate the Founding Author section, at which point Voicewright removes the material as though revoked.

This Consent is governed by, and read together with, the Author Production Agreement, the Founding Author Addendum, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy, and takes the governing law and dispute process from them. Where this Consent conflicts with any of them on the use of the Author's name, likeness, work, or audio, this Consent controls, because it is the narrower and more specific permission.
